The location is unique and spectacular - on a wooded island on Upper Lough Erne, surrounded by the beautiful Fermanagh Lakelands. It is part of a 470 acre estate spread over eight picturesque islands, encompassing a 17th century restored castle! This is also a vibrant working estate with farm with grazing cattle and sheep. Even more excitingly it offers some of the best angling for pike, roach, bream in Europe! The estate has prolific bank and boat fishing, including the legendary bream swims - which can be exclusively reserved so you can prebait with confidence! It’s a secret paradise - tranquil and luxurious to boot.
With expert tuition, using top quality seasonal Irish produce the cooking courses are designed for any level of cooking ability, from beginner through to experienced cooks. Group sizes are limited to 12 people allowing for a very 'hands-on' approach in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Your chef Liz, is talented, experienced and passionate with a considerable reputation in Ireland. She has cooked for many prestigious events in Ireland and can include H.M. The Queen of England as one of the more notable dignitaries to have tasted her creations.Her philosophy of blending contemporary cooking with local ingredients and traditional Irish recipes, makes this an exciting culinary experience. Guided by her expert tuition, you'll gain the confidence to be creative and extend the boundaries of your culinary skills. There is an imaginative variety of courses to choose from and you’re guaranteed to return home with newfound recipes, tips and savoir-faire!
You stay in excellent accommodation- either in a courtyard apartment or an independent cottage. All have earned a four-star rating from the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and brim over with character and style. There is so much to do on the fabulous estate, including tennis, boating, country walks, and excellent fishing that non-cooking companions will enjoy it too and are warmly welcomed. |
