Fly into Lisbon airport. Santarem is about one hours drive from Lisbon - there is an excellent motorway. There are also frequent trains between Lisbon and Santarem. Arrival and departure transfers Santarem and the hotel can be arranged on request. DIRECTIONS FROM LISBON: From Lisbon take the A1 direction Porto/Santarem. Take the turn off at Santarem. Follow the signs to Santarem and then Santarem (Centro). In Santarem follow the signs to Portas do Sol, which is the local landmark square. On the square you will see signposting for the hotel, which is situated to the left of the square. It will be helpful if you schedule to arrive at the hotel around 4 pm on the 1st day of the course.
