South Thailand has a definite season from the beginning of November though to the end of May and any of these months are a good time to go.
The peak months are December to March, which also tend to have the best weather.

The Thai government allows British Citizens and visitors from most other countries to enter Thailand without a visa and stay for up to 30 days.
Your passport must be vaild for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
