Hoi An on Vietnam’s central coast does not have a distinct tourist season. It is dry from May to October and wet from December to February The months of May & June are especially hot and humid when tourist numbers drop by half. The rainy season can be especially popular.

Avian influenza (bird flu)
There have been renewed outbreaks of bird flu amongst poultry throughout Vietnam. There have been a number of human fatalities in this latest outbreak.You should avoid places where you may come into contact with poultry and exercise care when consuming poultry dishes.
